Career Guidance and Counseling Cell

Along with academic education, S D Jain Girls’ College provides supplementary services to students which help them in honing and perfecting their skills as they venture out of the college in pursuit of a job. Career Guidance and Counseling Cell aims to help students make informed career choices. Among other things, its programs offer information on alternative course offerings, career options, the type of academic and occupational training needed to succeed in the workplace and opportunities that are associated with their field of interest. Programs also often provide teachers, administrators, and parents with information they can use to support students' career exploration. Recognizing the importance of career guidance and counseling programs for student's post-secondary success, the Department plays a key role in supporting State's efforts to build and implement these programs.
Activities associated with career guidance and counseling programs typically include: advising students and parents on the course curriculum, preparing them for application and admission and arranging dual /concurrent enrollment and placement assistance.
