Starting the new academic year in 2023, the Nagaland University has decided to introduce FYUGP (Four Year Under Graduate Program) in the affiliated coplleges. Students seeking admission in BA and B.COM Semester-1 are advised to select subject meticulously while filling in the admission form.

Admission Process (Offline)
NB. Admission Form cum Prospectus will be available after the declaration of the HSSLC / Class-XII (NBSE) Examinations.
Shri Digamber Jain Girls’ College (SDJGC) has been established and sponsored by Shri Digamber Jain Samaj, a minority socio-religious organization of Dimapur since 1993. The Samaj conceived this noble idea and started the college specifically to encourage and foster higher education and learning among the girls and also as a token of this Society’s sincere concern and care for women education. The aim and objective of the institution is to prepare young girls as responsible citizens of tomorrow and Management spares no means to achieve this goal. The College strives to be an institution of excellence imparting quality education in Arts and Commerce for bachelor's degree courses under the Nagaland University.
Id-Card
A non-transferable Identity Card is issued to each student of SDJGC after admission in the first week of commencement of the classes. The card together with a recent 2/2.5 size color photo contains relevant information of the card holder as furnished in the admission form. It is imperative that the student always carries the Id-Card, which must be produced as and when demanded by the college authority and for availing any service, viz. attending classes, issuance of documents, form fill up, etc.
Library
The College Library is housed in the first floor. It has books prescribed for the under graduate courses. Important journals and news papers are regularly subscribed to. The reading room of the Library provides adequate space for reading to at least 100 students at a time. It remains open during the working hours of the College. The Library Card is issued to the student to enable her to borrow books from the Library subject to the Library Rules as modified from time to time.
Sports
The College provides Table Tennis, Carrom as well as Chess Boards in the Auditorium cum Girls’ Common Room for the entertainment of the students during off periods. Annual Sports meet is also held that allows the budding athletes to showcase their talent.
Annual Magazine
In order to give a platform to the creativity of the young minds, the College publishes the annual magazine, “JYOTSNA”, every year and every student is encouraged to contribute original articles for publication.
College Uniform
The students must wear SKY-BLUE KAMEEJ (knee length) with WHITE SALWAR (covering ankles) and WHITE DUPATTA on all working days, neat and tidy. A student not in proper uniform shall not be entertained for any service, whatsoever, on any day. Loitering around in uniform or getting involved in any unhealthy activity is considered an offense to the College and, as such, the student concerned will forfeit all her claims to being a student of this institution.
Admission Procedure
Admission is based purely on merit and cannot be claimed as a matter of right. Application Form, along with information brochure for admission to bachelor’s degree courses in both Arts and Commerce may be obtained from the College Office on cash payment of Rs. 200/- (subject to change from time time) within 15 days from the declaration of the Result by the NBSE or till seats are available, whichever is earlier.

How to take admission in offline mode at the College office
- Obtain the admission form
- Fill in the particulars meticulously.. Incomplete application will be summarily rejected.
- Paste recent thumb size colour photo within the space provided for that
- Attach copies of requisite documents
- Submit the admission form for verification at the designated counter
- Get the Honors subject confirmed. Once allotted, the Honors subject will not be changed unless seats are available only after formal close of admissions. However, one may decide to drop honors to continue as a General Course student.
- Produce the lntimation letter and pay the Fees at the cash counter or you may pay fees online using SBI-Collect payment gateway. In that case you must mention the Student-ID assigned to you in the intimation letter for reference and after making the payment you must submit the EReciept to the college office for confirmation of admission.
- Retain the cash receipt for later use like applying for scholarship.

Documents to be submitted along with admission form
Two self-attested photostat copies of each of the following:
- Marksheet of the HSSLC Examination.
- Admit Card (Class-X and Class-XII).
- * HSSLC Pass Certificate and if admitted elsewhere already then the TC from the previous institution.
- Two copies of recent (2X 2.5 size) color photo with candidate’s name and signature on the back and one photo duly pasted on the Admission Application Form.
- Registration Card issued by the HSSchool Board/Council/University, or Migration Certificate if from another Board or University.
- Anti Ragging Affidavit duly signed by the candidate and the parent/guardian available on the Backpage of the admission form.
- Caste Certificate (compulsory for SC, ST and OBC, or else they will be treated as General Category candidates).
- * Residence/Domicile Certificate.
- * Certificate of Annual Income of Parents/Affidavit to that effect.
- * Conduct/Character Certificate issued by the Head of the Institution last attended.
- * Certificate in support of physical challenges, only for Divyangjan.
NB: Documents marked with asterisk (*) must be submitted within one moth of admission.The students migrating from CBSE will get three months time to submit the MIgration certificate. Original certificates must be produced for verification at the time of admission. The original Board (HSSLC) Registration Card or the TC in fromt the last institution attended must be submitted to the College at the time of admission for submission to the University. Once admitted, the same Registration Card cannot be returned unless the student applies for cancellation of admission within one (1) month from the date of admission.
Fee Structure
Fee Structure (AY 2024-25 )
Total fees for each semester = Rs. 12400/- (Includes admission fee, tuition fee and all other fees except exam fee ).
The amount may be paid in full at the time of admission or in two installments as follows:
1st installment = Rs. 5250/-
2nd installment = Rs. 7150/- (Before exam form fill-up)
Online payment facility is available 24/7. You may pay fees from the comforts of your home using PC, Laptop, Mobile or at an Internet Facility.
Open the online payment gateway and pay via Internet Banking, Mobile Banking, RuPay card, Credit card, BHIM App, any UPI App or any Mobile Payment App like PayTM, GooglePay, PhonePay, MobiKwik or any other App that of any Bank.
You can also choose NEFT option to generate the challan and visit your Bank branch to pay cash at the counter as well. RuPay and UPI Apps are free of additional charges. Minimal transaction charges will be collected by your Bank which is differs from bank to bank.

NB: University Exam fees will have to be paid by the student separately at the time of form fill-up for the said examination.
Fee Exemption
Top 20 rank holders in the latest HSSLC Exams from NBSE will be fully exempted from paying fees payable to the college. However, they must pay a caution money of Rs.2000/- refundable at the time of form fillup for the 6th Semester Exams.University Exam fees are not a part of the college fees.
Students who scored 80 % (but not in top 20) in the latest HSSLC Exams (NBSE only) shall be given 50 % exemption. This exemption will continue till the end of the program provided they continue to secure the same quality in the subsequest semester-end final exams.
Code of Conduct
To cultivate the habit of disciplined life and to maintain and respect the decorum and dignity of the institution, all students of the S D Jain Girls’ College must abide by the following Code of Conduct:
General
- Silence and discipline must be observed in the classroom as well as in the entire campus of the institution. A student must maintain a high standard of discipline and abide by the rules and regulations of the College.
- All courses of studies in SDJGC are full-time courses. Any other regular or add-on course may be taken by a student outside our regular class-hours.
- Smoking, consumption or possession of pan, tobacco products, alcohol, drugs, narcotics and other psychotropic substances is strictly prohibited in the college campus.
- Ragging in any form in the college campus is prohibited.
- Union or Association of students shall be allowed to be organized only with the prior approval of the College Management. To display or circulate any notice, etc, anywhere in the college premise, students must obtain the written permission of the college authority. No student or group of students is allowed to report any matter concerning the College to any outsider without first submitting a written report to the College Authority.
- Loss of the Identity Card must be reported to the College authorities immediately; and, the concerned student must apply for a duplicate Identity Card, as early as possible, by paying the requisite fees and a recent self-attested photograph.
- The College authority reserves the right to impose fine, suspend, or expel any student whose conduct is considered to be detrimental / prejudicial to the interests of the College as a Higher Educational Institution subject to the existing Rules & Regulations of the NU and UGC.
- Using of Mobile Phones or similar other gadgets in classroom, or in the corridors when classes are on, is strictly prohibited.
- A student must attend the classes regularly and punctually and 80% attendance is mandatory to be eligible to write any examination.
- Medical Leave, etc, may relax this by 5% but in no case shall exempt any student from attaining the 75% of class attendance in each subject.
- A student must satisfy the Principal with good conduct and a sound moral character.
- A student must pass all the internal tests to be eligible to fill up form for the final examinations.
- Application for re-evaluation of answer script/s of any internal or end semester examination shall be referred to the IQAC or, in its absence, to an Empowered Committee consisting of Faculty members and such other members as the competent authority may deem necessary. However, students are advised desist from vague allegations.
- Students must pay the fees in time to avoid unnecessary complications
- Marks can be shown to a student only on production of original Admit Card.
- Only a student in person can be issued the certificate asked for after due verification of records.
- Adopting unfair means in the examination shall invite automatic expulsion from the Examination Hall as well as from the College.
Further Notes
- Taking non-vegetarian items or food in the College campus is prohibited.
- Avoid trespassing into the School or Temple building annexed to the college.
- Familiarize yourself with the rules, and look up the Notice Board daily on arrival and departure.
- Get a cash receipt for all payments made in the College office.
- Be attentive in the class.
- Don’t move about in the corridors unnecessarily when other classes are going on.
- Maintain decorum in the Library with quiet, decent and helpful gesture.
NB: Violation of any rule, unsatisfactory progress, irregular attendance, and non-clearance of college fees in time, showing discourtesy to the teachers or other staff members, etc, shall be dealt with disciplinary action leading to forced TC, debarment or expulsion from the College. Decision of the Principal is final and binding in all academic and disciplinary matters. Non-compliance would automatically invite disciplinary proceedings.
